Terms under which JAB AVOCATS processes personal data.

Purpose of the policy

This privacy policy describes the conditions under which JAB AVOCATS processes personal data in connection with the operation of the Website, exchanges with its contacts, prospects and clients, and the conduct of its professional activity.

Personal data processed

Depending on the circumstances, JAB AVOCATS may process the following categories of data:

Retention periods

Personal data is retained for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, increased where applicable by statutory limitation periods or retention periods imposed by legal, regulatory, accounting, tax or professional obligations.

By way of indication:

  • data relating to contact requests that have not resulted in the opening of a matter is retained for a reasonable period necessary to process the request and any follow-up to the relationship;
  • data relating to client matters is retained for the duration of the relationship and then archived for the periods necessary to comply with professional obligations and defend the firm’s rights;
  • accounting and billing data is retained for the applicable statutory periods;
  • data relating to cookies is retained for the periods specified in the cookies policy.

Security and confidentiality

JAB AVOCATS implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to preserve the security, integrity and confidentiality of personal data.

These measures take into account the nature of the data processed, the risks presented by the processing and the specific requirements associated with practising as a lawyer.
